Henry & Avery’s Wedding

Little did we know that Henry and Avery’s wedding on February 22 would be the last wedding we photographed before the whole world changed. But my oh my, what a wonderful note to go out on.
This wedding is one of our favorites for many reasons. First of all, location, location, Santa Barbara is one of California’s most beautiful landscapes and coasts. Henry and Avery’s venue, Rancho Dos Pueblos, has the best of both. The home they got ready in overlooked mountains on one side and a vast green hillside on the other, where their dreamlike first look took place. The ceremony was on a cliff above the ocean. The reception was in a forest-surrounded barn.
What we loved more than the incredible venue views were the bride and groom themselves. Kind, caring, adventurous and gorgeous, these two struck gold finding each other. The speeches of those who know them best echoed the sentiment - Henry and Avery are a perfect match already making the world a nicer place.
Among the thoughtful details of the day was the gift Henry gave his bride: a tan Patagonia jacket with “forever young” inscripted on the back. Bad news for all the gals who will stop Avery to ask where her rad jacket is from. Good news that Mr. and Mrs. Young are indeed together, forever, giving everyone hope of how sweet life can be.
Congratulations, Henry and Avery, on a pre-pandemic wedding too beautiful to forget. Thank you for trusting us with your day and for treating us like family. May the happiness you’ve found keep your hearts forever young all your days.
