Amanda & Riley’s Backyard Wedding

Riley and Amanda’s wedding was the kind you leave knowing you just experienced what’s grand in life.
It was the last true day of Nashville fall, chilly with lingering colors. The wedding took place at Amanda’s home, and we’ve always been keen on backyard weddings when you have access to a great one. Family and friends arrived throughout the day to transform Amanda’s to the dream venue it was.
Amanda got ready in the same room she did as a teenager. Her window had a front yard view where she could get a glimpse as people arrived. She looked gorgeous, her long, lacy gown with pearl buttons down the back complimented by her dark curls and bright smile. The gals by her side were the kindest, no surprise to be the company of an incredible bride.
Riley and his guys prepared for the day in a guest house located in the backyard, where they helped as needed. Like Amanda, Riley is one of the nicest people ever, surrounded in turn by a great group of friends. He was a handsome, thoughtful groom, well-suited for the girl he chose for always.
The day moved seamlessly, as can be expected when a community like theirs comes together and makes things happen for the people they love. Genuine people orchestrating such a day, reminiscing along the way about the days that led to this one. It was beautiful to see and be a part of.
Riley and Amanda’s first look was at the entrance of the house. Amanda walked out the front door down the walkway to meet Riley at the steps, symbolic of her joining him as home. They laughed and cried and took some moments for just them. Surrounded by yellow leaves, they read the vows they wrote each other before their friends joined them to kick off the celebration. What a setting, what a couple, what a group.
More loved ones arrived and the ceremony began, full of sincerity, love, music too. Riley and Amanda became husband and wife among their sweet and sound community. If you’re in it for forever, as they so clearly are, this aspect is essential. Mr. and Mrs. Vasquez have it all.
The reception that followed was a lovely time of eating, drinking, and sharing memories and affirmations. The dance party that followed was the best we’ve ever seen. When professional musician friends DJ on the side, you better be ready to party. The music and dancing and celebrating raged on, rightfully so for such a loved pair. A sparkler exit capped the night and ended a day worth cherishing.
Riley and Amanda, it was an honor getting to know you and to witness the good you’ll always have. Thanks for trusting us with your day, and for setting the bar sky high for dance floors.
