Justin & Stephanie’s Elopement

Big Bear, California

In a hurting world still mostly on pause, we continue to relish the good wherever it exists. Where there is love, there is joy. Lucky for us, that’s exactly where our job leads us.

We are in awe of our clients. Some are patiently waiting this out, while others are creatively altering plans. While weddings should be the best day of your life, the love that got you there in the first place can be yours every single day, forever. Nothing can take it away, or put it on pause. Couples who carry that truth into their wedding day and beyond give hope to a weary world.

Justin and Stephanie are among the couples who have been a bright spot on our 2020 calendar. You learn a lot about people from a front row seat to them facing and embracing a trial. After having to change their wedding plan multiple times, Stephanie and Justin decided to do a small backyard ceremony with only a few people present, other guests via Zoom. Stephanie didn’t wear her wedding dress, hoping to save it for whenever they could have the wedding of their dreams.

Some time passed, and Justin and Stephanie made another big decision. Instead of holding out for a large celebration, they decided to head to the mountains alone, in full wedding attire, to celebrate their marriage and their lifelong love.

Though they were already married and vows had been exchanged, the day felt like an exciting, intimate elopement. They got ready in a small cabin, shared a sweet first look, and sipped their favorite whiskey before hiking into the mountains. We hope these photographs always remind them that together they can take on anything, that together is the adventure and the dream.

Congratulations, Stephanie and Justin! Thank you for letting us share your unwavering joy.
