Alix & Andrew’s Wedding

We’d been stoked for Alix and Andrew’s Palm Springs wedding since their Chicago engagement session last fall.

As we toured through the Windy City, Alix described the green invitations, the tan suits the guys would wear, and the walking parade for all the guests through the streets of Palm Springs. Every detail and moment was thought out from grand to small for their Palm Spring wedding in spring.

We knew the wedding would be fabulous but were blown away at how next-level fabulous it was. Extraordinary colors. Impeccable design. Sunny and summery weather. Alix was show-stopping in a dress unlike any we’ve seen the past decade. One word: SLEEVES. She absolutely stunned and outdid herself in planning not just a dream day, but a wedding weekend for everyone she loves to enjoy.

Speaking of who she loves, Andrew is her perfect companion. Calm and cool, handsome and personable. Tan was the right choice, and he was appropriately dapper for this brilliant Palm Springs day. Their garden-surrounded first look told the tale when his jaw dropped at the sight of his gorgeous bride glowing among bright flowers.

Brides have every right to a day all about them. Alix is too thoughtful for that and put so much love into every part of the itinerary for her family and friends. Everyone (including us!) received a welcome gift box full of some of Alix and Andrew’s favorite things, even a music playlist, and a rad Palm Springs cap. They have great taste, so it was all gold.

What took the cake was the personalized dinner menu waiting at each guest’s green, gold, and floral-filled table setting. Alix and Andrew took the time to dote on every person, writing a unique, original blurb highlighting what they love about each person there. No better way to show someone you love them by lifting them up, then throw the best party ever.

The walking parade happened right after some teary-eyed toasts just as the sun set. People walked and sang and danced their way to phase 2 of the reception: a lively, disco-ball decorated, music-filled, drink-flowing, classy-fun dance party. The dance floor stayed full and the celebrating never stopped. A day and night to remember through and through.

Palm Springs is a vibe, and Alix and Andrew didn’t miss a beat. The way they love each other, the way they love their loved ones, and the way they perfectly planned their wedding with the destination. Thanks for letting us be along for the ride, and for the Palm Springs hat we’ll be rocking for a good while.
