In this slow season of a new year, we like to look back at our favorite weddings from the year before.
It keeps us grateful for the couples we worked with, for all the beauty we felt and saw and documented. It keeps us ready for the busy season ahead when we get to experience more, with new people, new places, and new dream days.
Speaking of dream days, Abby and Ryan’s is one we look back on in awe. What always means the most to us is the love between the couple, and Abby and Ryan’s was electric. Pair that with our favorite California coast in summer, add brilliant pops of color from florals and paleta popsicles, oh, and a beach party to kick it all off, and you’ve got a wedding weekend to inspire us for years to come.
Dos Puebles Orchid Farm in Santa Barbara has lent itself to some of our favorite weddings. It hosts an epic coastline for brides and grooms to steal away moments they’ll never forget. Minutes inland, everyone they love is celebrating them while they look out on the water, hold each other, dream of what’s ahead, and take it all in. What a way to start forever. Gets us every time.
Abby, you were gorgeous and elegant, everything a bride could hope to be on her wedding day. But most of all, you were happy, beaming all over with love for Ryan. Ryan, you were handsome and laughing and over the moon for your bride. We hope you two look at these images and smile as much as we do, remembering this day full of more love and joy and beauty than the sea could hold.
